| | | | EAGA Partnership is an employee-owned company.
They manage a varied range of public and private funded schemes
aimed mostly at low-income households. They were awarded the
'Fastest Growing, Large Company' in the North East, by the Newcastle
Journal in 2004. Current turnover is over £200million and they
employ 750+ staff at their head office in Newcastle Upon Tyne. | | | EAGA approached END2END to advise on the design
and build of a Computer Room in one of their Newcastle offices. The
top floor of the building was already an open plan space occupied by
their call centre and, therefore, the only place left to house there
Disaster Recovery Centre was within the roof space of the building.
This had inherent problems with the possibility of water leaks from
the exposed roof and no staff nearby to spot any issues. It really
was to be a 'lights out' room. | | The Disaster Recovery Centre - End2End
worked closely with the EAGA Project Manager, the IT team and
Properties & Facilities to implement an effective solution that
addressed all the challenges. A new roof was constructed to create
an impermeable membrane, complete with a leak detection system
linked to an environmental monitoring system that alerts staff to
that an other problems by SMS. Our modular and flexible approach has
also ensured that the room can be upgraded to N+1 as service levels
dictate. |
