Managing Energy
Managing energy costs is an ongoing challenge, particulary now with increasing electricity prices. For most power users, reducing electricity costs means limiting usage out of hours, limiting peak demand or installing energy-saving equipment. However, a significant portion of the monthly bill that can be decreased without altering usage patterns.

Power factor represents a considerable part of the electric bill for many sites, yet is often one of the most controllable costs. A poor Power Factor essentially means that you are wasting a proportion of the electricity supply provided. This obviously lowers the usable supply to your Data Centre and in our 'Green' world such a waste is unforgiveable, especially when it can be fixed with a simple piece of equipment. In fact, many Electricity suppliers are starting to charge for this wasteage, so it may well be costing you money to waste it.

Power Factor Correction
We can fit Power Factor Correction equipment that can give you back that waste, either reducing your costs or increasing the available energy for your Data Centre. The equipment can pay for itself in months at sites with a poor power factor or allow you to add additional IT without buying in a new supply. So if the answer to any of the below is "YES", contact us now to see how we can help you fix the situation.

Do you know how good your Power Factor is?
Are you wasting electricity and money?
Are you at the limit of available Data Centre power?
